Interpeace Rwanda and its local implementing partners (DiDe, HAGURUKA, and Prison Fellowship Rwanda) organized a 5-day planning retreat from 13 November to 17th November 2023 to review the implementation of the 2nd year and plan for the next year 2024. The panning retreat held at Ma campagne Hotel, located in Rwamagana District, Estern province.
The planning retreat gathered Head of organizations of Interpeace, DIDE, Haguruka and Prison Fellowship Rwanda as well as programme and financial staff of the above-mentioned organizations.
In her opening remarks, the Executive Director of DiDe (Dignite en Detention), Odette Mukansoro appreciated everyone for their role in the last 2 years of implementation and expressed her eagerness to participate in the review of 2023 and planning for 2024. She encouraged participants to share their ideas to ensure success in our work.
The Executive Secretary of Haguruka, Ninette Umurerwa, reiterated this appreciation adding that this retreat is a learning opportunity for everyone and helps ensure that the programme is on track to achieving its initial goals.
Celestin Ngaruyinka, the Executive Director of Prison Fellowship Rwanda (PFR) thanked Interpeace’s Country Representative, Frank Kayitare for his leadership and emphasized the opportunity to reflect on the programme’s achievements, challenges and ways to improve for the upcoming year.
