Today DIDE Rwanda introduced the new project to the heads of selected prisons entitled "Reinforcing Community Capacity for social cohesion and reconciliation through societal trauma healing in Rwanda"
This project where DIDE and its partners are funded by SIDA will provide psychological support to inmates and reconciliation with the Genocide survivor and ensure their safe return to the society.
This project is presented in the selected prisons: Musanze, Nyamagabe and Ngoma.
Following are activities scheduled for the program:
In the beginning group psych-education training will be conducted for prisons officials, setting up healing spaces inside the prisons,
Organize diagnosis specific clinical spaces for current prisoners,
Multi-family based interventions for current prisoners
This program still in the pilot phase and we will cover all its progress
